Sr. Product Manager - Payroll Tax

Job Description:
In this position the successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for the Payroll Tax product line. You will be required to develop, implement, and manage product marketing plans and activities that will achieve of revenue and profit objectives. You will also be involved through all stages of the product’s life cycle including definition, development, release and post release activities. Responsibilities • Ability to develop and successfully implement product related marketing plans • Manage the product release schedule • Oversee the development, pricing and marketing of products and services • Conduct research and analysis of competitive information • Maintain product requirements through an in-depth understanding of customer and partner needs • Oversee the development, pricing and marketing of products and services including the creation of product collateral and release materials • Oversee the preparation and implementation of product related marketing plans • Works with Sales to support Payroll sales and marketing activities Education • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent work experience, MBA or equivalent experience preferred • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) desired

Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience • Minimum of 10 years business experience with HR/Payroll vendors or industry experience • Background in ERP HR/Payroll systems preferred Skills • Possesses in depth knowledge of product management principles and practices • Ability to work directly with customers and partners to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements • Excellent working knowledge of the HR/Payroll process and industry (US required, Canada preferred) • Experience with the evaluation and prioritization of requests for product enhancements • Experience in conducting the research and analysis of competitive information • Must have in-depth knowledge of technological concepts such as client/server, mainframe, and midrange computer systems • Experience in software product development processes • Experience in creating product forecasts • Capable of providing project management for marketing projects Other Requirements Some travel required (approximately 10-20 %)
